LibDib will purchase up to 30 days of inventory for Gold Makers only. If you are interested in signing up for Gold please click here.
LibDib purchases inventory primarily for key accounts (chains, on-premise BTG etc) that need faster (delivery within two days) or consolidated (multiple makers delivered at the same time) service. Inventory also makes sense to keep shipping costs down when orders can be consolidated onto one freight shipment per month. Freight shipments that qualify are 300lbs or more. That is approximately 15 cases of 6 packs or a 7-8 cases of wine.
What does 30 days of inventory mean?
There must be a path to deplete all the inventory within 30 days. Why? LibDib’s entire business model—and the ability to keep mark-up costs down—is built on a no-low inventory model.
Why is my first inventory order so low?
New Gold Makers with no market history will only get an inventory order if there is a plan for depletion. LibDib does not purchase inventory without customers ordering. Makers and Portfolio Managers can continue to review the growth of a brand and determine when it is the best time to start consolidating orders and utilizing the inventory feature.
How do I get a larger inventory order?
Gold Makers are encouraged to increase their sales by working the market and building relationships with accounts. The more points of distribution a Maker has, the more opportunities there are for monthly consolidated shipping. Gold Makers are eligible for various key account introductions and presentations. It is recommended to utilize that feature to increase sales volume in target markets.
I received an inventory order. Can LibDib add more cases to it?
LibDib (and most distributors) order inventory based on what is needed. There are costs to having inventory in warehouses for long periods of time. Only if there is a new placement that is absolutely secured and will be shipping within the 30 days will we add on. If that is the case, provide context and loop us in with the Buyer so your Portfolio Manager can get everything set up. Otherwise, our inventory management team will order only what is needed.
