Gold Makers Only: Inventory FAQ

LibDib will purchase up to 30 days of inventory for Gold Makers only. If you are interested in signing up for Gold please click here.

As a LibDib Gold Maker, you may be eligible for inventory purchases to help support faster fulfillment and an improved Buyer experience.

Key Accounts (chains, on-premise BTG etc)
LibDib purchases inventory primarily for key accounts (chains, on-premise BTG etc) that need faster (delivery within two days) or consolidated (multiple makers delivered at the same time) service. Inventory also makes sense to keep shipping costs down when orders can be consolidated onto one freight shipment per month. Freight shipments that qualify are 300 lbs or more. That is approximately 15 cases of 6 packs or a 7-8 cases of wine.

Floor Stock Policy Terms
All inventory will be reviewed quarterly. If a product has been held in inventory longer than 90 days, the inventory will be subject to a floor stock adjustment and Maker will be billed back 1/4th the original cost of the product’s inventory.

  • Forecast accuracy is important
  • LibDib typically purchases 21-30 days of inventory, depending on current demand and sales history
  • Over-forecasting may result in Floor Stock adjustments
  • For reorders, LibDib may adjust purchase quantities based on actual performance

Pro Tip: Before LibDib can purchase inventory, Makers must sign the Gold Maker Agreement and fill out the Inventory Request Form. Please let your Portfolio Manager know if you have not received it the Gold Maker Agreement or need it resent.

How do I get a larger inventory order?
Gold Makers are encouraged to increase their sales by working the market and building relationships with accounts. The more points of distribution a Maker has, the more opportunities there are for monthly consolidated shipping. Gold Makers are eligible for various key account introductions and presentations. It is recommended to utilize that feature to increase sales volume in target markets.

I received an inventory order. Can LibDib add more cases to it?
LibDib (and most distributors) order inventory based on what is needed to fulfill demand. There are costs to having inventory in warehouses for long periods of time. If there are new demands for your products, please provide context to your Portfolio Manager.
