Who pays the taxes?
In most cases, LibDib pays the state excise tax. However, there are some exceptions:
- In California, in-state wineries are responsible for paying excise tax to the state of California.
- In Colorado, Colorado excise tax is paid at the point of import or manufacturing by the Maker.
- In Connecticut, LibDib is responsible for paying excise tax to the state of Connecticut.
- In Florida, LibDib is responsible for paying excise tax to the state of Florida.
- In Illinois, LibDib is responsible for paying excise tax to the state of Illinois.
- In Maryland, LibDib is responsible for paying excise tax to the state of Maryland.
- In New Jersey, LibDib is responsible for paying excise tax to the state of New Jersey.
- In New York, LibDib is responsible for paying excise tax to the state of New York.
- In Wisconsin, all Makers are responsible for paying excise tax to the state of Wisconsin.
