When Will I See My First Purchase Order (PO)?

At LibDib and On Demand, our model works a little differently than a traditional distributor. We do not carry inventory or purchase pallets of product in advance, prior to Buyer Demand. Instead, we place an order with you—the Maker—only when a Buyer has shown they are interested in placing an order for your products.

That means your first Purchase Order (PO) (or Fulfillment Order (FFO) on the LibDib side) will appear as soon as there is demand for your product. Once that happens, the system will automatically generate the order in your account and provide clear fulfillment instructions for shipment or delivery.

How do LibDib and On Demand measure and respond to demand?

We track real, verifiable demand signals from multiple sources to determine when and what to order. These include:

  • Actual Purchase Orders (POs) or EDI submissions from chain and key account Buyers.
  • Digital Requests submitted by Maker or in-market representatives through the platform.
  • Online orders placed directly by Buyers on LibDib.com or through eRNDC/distributor partner platforms.

By aggregating these demand indicators, LibDib and On Demand ensure products are ordered only when there’s proven Buyer interest—keeping our model efficient, data-driven, and accessible to all Makers.

This demand-based approach is what makes LibDib unique. By not maintaining warehouse inventory, we can:

  • Offer market access to all Makers, regardless of size or production volume.

  • Keep our costs low and provide competitive rates.

  • Focus on efficiency, transparency, and data-driven demand.

We don’t stock or pre-purchase product. However, LibDib Gold Members have the option to consolidate their products into a single monthly shipment that is stored at our warehouse and released as Buyer orders are received. Inventory is held for up to 30 days, ensuring efficient fulfillment while maintaining our demand-based model.
