What is LibDib's Sample Policy?
Processing sample shipments for accounts, tastings, and events is a highly manual process that requires coordination across compliance, operations, shipping, taxes, and customer service. A single sample shipment can take hours to process correctly, making it one of the most resource-intensive services LibDib provides.
To ensure we can continue providing a high level of service, sample shipment coordination is now an exclusive benefit for Gold Makers.
Gold Makers
Gold Makers may request sample shipments through their dedicated Portfolio Manager. Your Portfolio Manager will coordinate the shipment, ensure compliance requirements are met, and help facilitate the process from start to finish.
A $10 per case excise tax fee will apply where applicable. The cost of the product and all shipping charges will continue to be billed back to the Maker.
Silver and Free Makers
LibDib no longer processes sample shipments for non-Gold Makers.
If samples are an important part of your sales strategy, we encourage you to consider upgrading to the Gold program. In addition to sample coordination, Gold membership includes dedicated Portfolio Management, priority support, inventory services, discounted shipping, and other premium benefits designed to help Makers grow their business.
Additional Requirements
- All Makers must be live and compliant in the applicable market before samples can be shipped.
- Sample shipments must be sent using LibShip or processed from inventory. All Makers using Libship require a FedEx Alcohol Shipping Agreement, which can take up to four weeks to obtain.
- Please plan ahead, especially for tastings, events, or account meetings with specific delivery dates.
