What is a SCC code and is it required to be on LibDib?
The Shipping Container Code (SCC) is a 14-digit barcode that is placed on the outside of a shipping carton or pallet to identify the contents inside. It is associated with the UPC code, which is needed prior to generating the SCC code. While it is not required for products to be in distribution, we highly recommend having a unique SCC code per case/pallet. Some retailers will not purchase without one.
